That quick clip of Killzone looked amazing. Can you imagine that? A half an hour commute on the train in the morning -- playing a quick level of Killzone. Then on the lunch break, playing a few quick online matches. The same applies to Uncharted; Call of Duty especially will be a big hit for that. I remember kids in high schools crowding around GBAs and the like. I'm sure they still do for iPods. But now the PSP2 (I'm not averse to the name "Sony NGP") is about to blow all that out of the water.
That, by the way, is the response to people that worry that the PSP2 is just striking the same foul ball as the PSP -- the idea that the PSP failed because it was trying to be a console. Yes, it failed because it was trying to be a PS2 when we had the 360 and, later, the PS3. Well, now this thing is out and it essentially looks like a PS3. I would love to take Uncharted 2/Killzone 2/Need for Speed Hot Pursuit/RDR, etc., etc., etc. on the road with me. Are you kidding me? That sounds awesome. (Was it the latest Weekend Confirmed that pointed out that handhelds have always been console imitators? It might have been Jeff. Or maybe I'm wrong.)
Also, the idea of having MLB 11: The Show anytime, anywhere is possibly the best gaming-related thing I've heard in a long while. Hopefully it happens.
And that thing needs an eBook reader too. I'm sure that screen is suitable enough for the likes of PDFs.
