Visceral Announces Dead Space 2 "Severed" DLC
by Steve Watts, Jan 25, 2011 9:30am PSTDead Space 2 is hitting stores today, and Visceral Games has taken the opportunity to announce its first planned downloadable content for the game. The pack is titled "Severed," and includes two new chapters to the story. The announcement didn't include a date or pricing for the pack, but claims it will be coming soon to Xbox Live and PSN.
Severed will star Gabe Weller and Lexine Murdock from Dead Space Extraction. Players take control of Gabe, working as a humble Sprawl security guard when the events of Dead Space 2 begin. This makes him a silver medalist for the Worst Luck in the Galaxy award, right behind series protagonist Isaac Clarke. We'll keep an eye out for more details.

LOL. That's why I don't buy games on release anymore and wait for the real, finished "GOTY" edition a year later (and cheaper, btw).
Shameful.

Jeez, I mean really - don't you think Visceral could have at least waited a week or maybe two, atleast pretend they're working on some DLC?

I will buy a new, fully-formed sequel (which this is) but way too often the packs come in intangible "points" increments that not only charge you, but charge you extra because you can only buy them in sets of 13 or something when the pack costs 4 points.
ONLY 4 BIOWARE POINTS!
