Silent Hill: Downpour Due This Fall; Screenshots and Soundtrack Sample Released

3
Konami confirmed today that Silent Hill: Downpour, previously codenamed Silent Hill 8, will be released this fall. The publisher also released the first batch of screenshots for the latest in the survival horror series and an MP3 sample of its soundtrack.

Downpour's soundtrack is handled by Daniel Licht, composer on TV serial killer drama 'Dexter.' Silent Hill composer Akira Yamoka parted ways with the series after Shattered Memories, now working with Grasshopper Manufacture on Shadows of the Damned.

Developed by Vatra Games, the Czech dev behind Rush'N Attack Ex-Patriot, Silent Hill: Downpour will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall.

I think this looks awesome, but definitely not Silent Hill. More like a fucked up Alan Wake, which is fine by me. Normally I wouldn't say that blood makes something good, but if Alan Wake had some more horrific scenes it may have been more effective.
