Crysis 2 Getting 360-Exclusive Multiplayer Demo [Updated]
by Steve Watts, Jan 21, 2011 11:15am PST[Update: 15:20 01/21/11] Included a new trailer and screenshots.
EA sent word today that the Xbox 360 will be getting an exclusive multiplayer demo of Crysis 2 later this month. Xbox Live Gold members can download the demo starting on January 25.
The demo features one map ("Skyline") and two game modes. "Team Instant Action" is the standard team deathmatch, and "Crash Site" is an attack and defend mode. This is a taste of the dozen maps and six gameplay modes that will be available in the final release of the game.
The exclusivity is unsurprising after months of a 360-only beta test. Still, PC and PS3 players shouldn't get too discouraged. EA declined to give us word on whether single-player demos were planned for other platforms, but we were told to "stay tuned for more news in the near future." Check out the announcement trailer after the break.
