Duke Nukem Forever Trailer and Screens Released

Hot on the heels of news that Duke Nukem Forever will be released on May 3 in North America--May 6 worldwide--developer Gearbox has dropped a media bomb with new screenshots and the long-awaited 'first' trailer for the near-mythical macho shooter.

"When I said goodbye to 3D Realms and the original Duke Nukem 3D team in 1997 and soon after founded Gearbox Software, I never in my wildest dreams imagined that a day like today would come," said Gearbox president Randy Pitchford in a new, fancy and official announcement. "Today I am proud, humbled and even astounded to announce that the day is coming at last for all gamers to be a part of video game history: Duke Nukem Forever will launch worldwide this May!"

Duke Nukem Forever will hit PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, published by 2K Games.

  what's funny is why would console gamers care about Duke Nukem at all? There is no history there at all. The whole point was 14 years ago people enjoyed a PC game called Duke Nukem 3D and the sequel took an insanely long time to complete.
