Last night kicked our ass!
First mission was a SCUD/Radar site in a town about 3KM from base. We got there, and then got hit hard by an aggressive enemy. My squad was pinned down as we moved up, I think all of us were down at one point, but thanks to some good healing and teamwork, only two of us died (me and limpossible, iirc). After I returned to action with the Ambulance humvee, we had a little clean-up to do of the town and we were then able to destroy the Radar and the SCUD launcher.
We returned to base for the second mission, escorting an Ammo truck to a different town, but we only made it about 2KM from base before we were beset upon by enemies and the truck rolled past an IED, destroying it.
After a protracted retreat, to base, our 3rd mission was to investigate a town 7 or 8KM away. We loaded up in an MV-22 and inserted cleanly, but were soon faced with superior numbers in unfamiliar territory. My entire squad (led by ArcKnight) was taken out by a tank. As far as know, there was a ton of infantry contacts engaging the other squad and support members. Only two were able to get out alive. Their final moments were captured here, when they returned to base in the MV22

Rebuild is best described as a survival sim with sprinklings of defense and strategy themes.
You have an overhead view and are trying to retake the city one block at a time. Start with a secure base, send out scouts, recruit survivors, grow food, etc.
It's kind of hard, but good strategy, and since it's turn based that helps. Can take a turn or 2, come check the Shack, take a couple more turns, then maybe do a little work! ;)

I just realized why this is a bad word in games. It's not because they're making things easier and clearer for players to understand. It's not because of the "players can do less and see more" spiel that comes along with it. It's that "players do less" part.
When did games become about doing less? Games are about doing things, that's the entire thing that makes it a "game" in the first place. Oh sure, if something isn't fun then you can eliminate it. But as often as not game developers are just removing parts because they're there. I can understand trying to make something that wasn't fun into something that is. I can understand replacing something that isn't fun with something that is.
But more often than not game developers of late have said to themselves "anything that require less time and button presses is better." A great example is Mass Effect 2. They replaced wandering around on the surface of a generic planet with one of the worst mini games in history. Their logic seemed to be "it requires less time!" Which is just plain illogical, "we're giving players a shorter game!" is not a goal. It replaced a not fun thing with an even more not fun thing. At least going down on a planet, exploring and shooting stuff has the potential for fun.
Another, upcoming example is Skyrim. "We're making skills more useful by making less of them!" This is a purely illogical statement. They are not adding any gameplay mechanics by doing this, and reducing the choices the player has. They're giving the player less to do for nothing in return. If they had tried expanding the game mechanics of those skills, that would give the player more to do. If the game mechanics of those skills weren't fun, then they could have eliminated them and given themselves more time. "But it makes the game more interesting-" how? Again there's no added game mechanics through this specific move. There's just a reduction in what the player has to do and think about.
I can't wait until this fad is over, and game developers realize games are about being played, and not about requiring the least amount of intelligence and thought possible. Heck for a lot of games people find thinking to be the fun part.

I'm looking for a decent replacement for my current 2001 Celica. I really love my baby (I've had her for about 5 years now), but she's just getting old. Been through two accidents and is now sitting at around 120k miles. I got her used and her last owner really ran her through the ringer (over 100k miles). What I'd like to know is if you guys know any good models that are similar to it. I've looked at newer celicas a bit, but they're too flashy and over the top imo. The thing I liked best about my car was how it was sleek and sexy, but not in your face about it.
Do you guys have any suggestions for me for cars that follow in that line of thought? I'd like it to have at least 4 seats, but it doesn't have to be 2 door or a hatchback. Also, a newer car would be nice even though I'm planning on getting it used.

Is it immoral for me to use an unlimited 30-day MetroCard that I found on the street? I can't decide. :( I'm surprised it hasn't been cancelled after 3 days; I guess whoever lost it bought it with cash (if they bought it with credit, they could get a pro-rated refund and have it cancelled), but it's not like I can give it back to them.

I just found that the formula =COUNTIF(1:8, "*") stopped counting asterisks, and started counting ANY cells with content. What up with that? How do I revert the COUNTIF function behavior of counting asterisks? :\
