Bing Gordon to Receive AIAS Lifetime Achievement Award
Gordon is credited for key marketing trends, such as his development of the EA Sports brand, which are still in use today. He also serves as a director at Amazon.com, holds the industry's first endowed chair in game design at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, and is a trustee of the Urban School of San Francisco.
The award will be presented by Microsoft's Don Mattrick at the 2011 D.I.C.E. Summit on February 10 in Las Vegas. Previous Lifetime Achievement Award winners include the ESA's Doug Lowenstein, Nintendo's Howard Lincoln and Minoru Arakawa, and Sony's Ken Kutaragi.
