Gran Turismo Anywhere Launching Next Month

8
Even with years of development under its belt before release, Gran Turismo 5 is still a constantly evolving beast. One cut feature was the ability to control B-spec races from PC or mobile devices, known as "Gran Turismo Anywhere." A patch to add the feature is still on the way and due in early February.

The word came from creator Kaz Yamauchi in the form of a tweet (via GT Planet). An exact release date wasn't given, but it seems like this will be the next major update for the game. Yamauchi had previously expressed interest in making monthly updates. The last one came in late December, so an early February release would bring it close enough to his goal.

Does this mean I can race from my PC?

you can have your b-spec drivers further you b-spec career, but nothing to do with a-spec....that's my take away.

but it does seem practical because if you go to the effort to set up your driving rig every time you fire up GT5, the last thing you want to do is play b-spec.

Isn't B-Spec the easiest way to fund your A-Spec career.

yeah it does serve that purpose, but it also the only way to unlock some seriously cool cars, like the Pagani Zonda R.

i'm not too far into b-spec (level 15, compared to level 25 in a-spec). but i'll stick to it. apparently you need a bunch of b-spec drivers to compete in the longer endurance races (might be wrong there - i think i read it somewhere)
