Bulletstorm Demo Hitting Xbox 360 & PS3 This Month
by Alice O'Connor, Jan 14, 2011 2:00pm PSTXbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners will be treated to a downloadable demo for People Can Fly and Epic's shooter Bulletstorm on January 25, publisher EA announced today. PC gamers, well, you can swear and pull funny faces to simulate the experience.
The demo will feature Bulletstorm's single-player 'Echo' mode, where players aim to score big and top scoreboards in snippets of the full campaign; you'll want to practice Skillshots to best your chums. The demo's section will see you "traverse a collapsed building on the deadly paradise planet Stygia as ex-Dead Echo leader Grayson Hunt."
As a bonus, by playing the demo you can also unlock platform-specific bonuses, "from the Crimson Leash to Stealth Armor," to use in the full game's multiplayer mode. Goodo!
Bulletstorm will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and, yes, PC too on February 22.

This was one of the only games I was looking forward to on PC. I wonder if they are running into problems with the port. I am quite concerned, but I guess I'll hold out for reviews and won't buy it on launch.

They're probably not releasing a PC demo pre-release because:
1: they don't want the binary floating out there,
2: they're finalizing the 360 and PS3 versions for MS and Sony cert anyway,
3: they probably haven't finalized the DRM suite on the PC version, which they would definitely apply to a demo these days, and
4: last time Epic released a demo pre-release for PC, it was UT3, and that demo was a disappointment on the fronts of "sales" and "lost sales" (and not because UT3 itself was lackluster, or because they didn't put the Warfare game mode in the demo).
