The Last Express Re-released for Download
by Alice O'Connor, Jan 13, 2011 2:00pm PSTJordan Mechner and Smoking Car Productions' remarkable 1997 adventure game The Last Express has been released by digital distributor DotEmu for a mere $9.99, Shacknews alumnus Chris Remo spotted. It comes ready to run on modern PCs.


Set aboard the Orient Express in 1914, TLE was famous for its rotoscoping, ability to reverse time and for running in 'real-time,' with many different events happening concurrently. Oh, and for being a commercial flop in spite of a warm critical reception.
The Last Express hasn't been readily available without hitting up eBay since it was pulled from the library of subscription service GameTap. Until now. Huzzah!
