The PC system requirements for Total War: Shogun 2 have been unveiled, revealing that the feudal Japan strategy game can run on a system with as little as a 2.6GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. • 256 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics card (shader model 3)
  • 1024x768 minimum screen resolution

it depends on res and what vid card...

the rec specs are misleading, since a i5 has many levels of performance, the lowest i5's are barely a thousand points over a q66 in 3dmark overall scores.. and some c2q's beat some i5's.

Radeon 5870. Though, for some reason, empire total war demo ran very poorly even with greatly reduced settings.

The latest Total War games seem to take better advantage of a higher clocked dual core, than a lower clocked quad core.

          This may change with Shogun.
