Weekend Discussion

Happy New Year, Shackers. Oh hell, same goes to you Frontpagers too! The next year is going to be very exciting. Not only are some fantastic games set to drop but some other interesting things are in the works. No, I cannot possibly be any more vague.

How was your New Year celebration? Do you remember 2010 like it was yesterday? Here's what the Shack staff has going on this weekend.

  • Alice O'Connor: [M.I.A.]
  • Brian Leahy: I'll be playing more WoW, SC2, and probably some assorted games lying around. Nothing too major.
  • Garnett Lee: Headed into the New Year's weekend the stack of games to get to--aka my pile of shame--beckons. Two titles exerting the most pull on me right now are Yakuza 2 and the Witcher. I also plan on playing more BF; BC2 Vietnam and Gran Turismo 5. If there's any time leftover ... who am I kidding? Happy New Year!
  • Xav de Matos: My "Installed Games" count on Steam is now at 60. It's time I focus some attention on a few of my 2010 personal favorites: Metro 2033, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Sniper: Ghost Warrior, The Ball, VVVVVV, Singularity and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Realistically, I'll play maybe one game.
  • Jeff Mattas: Now that my new Radeon HD 6950 has finally arrived, StarCraft 2 and Civ 5 will be giving my PC some exercise as 2011 approaches. And scotch! Happy, safe New Year, everyone!
  • Ozzie Mejia: Still finalizing New Year's eve plans, but the rest of the weekend will involve reacquainting myself with some of my favorite games, like Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
