Best of 2010 Awards: Game of the Year Runner-up
by Shack Staff, Dec 30, 2010 9:00am PSTGame of the Year Runner-up: StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty
The wait was definitely worth it with Blizzard's first non-World of Warcraft release since July 2003 and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is our second best game of 2010. There isn't much more to say that hasn't been covered in the posts for Best Multiplayer, Best Strategy, and Best PC game, which were all taken by StarCraft II.
StarCraft II has something for every type of player with a varied campaign, competitive multiplayer, and rich custom game support that will only improve over time. The game has already jumped to the top of the pile when it comes to PC-based eSports and will most certainly be played for years and years to come, especially with two expansion packs planned.
Check back tomorrow for Shacknews' winner for Game of the Year.

If SC2 can come second and be 5 years old before it was out then if Red Dead Redemption don`t win it will show the votes are mean nothing as its rigged.
