Quake Finished in 52 Minutes with 100% Completion
by Brian Leahy, Dec 28, 2010 4:00pm PSTMany of you may have seen this video, but there's nothing else going on today, so I'm posting this here because it is awesome. This is a stitched video of every level of Quake being completed at 100%, meaning all kills and all secrets on every level on Nightmare difficulty (via Reddit).
Now, each level was recorded separately and some hacking tools were used to start the next level with the previous level's inventory, but there was no hacking or cheating in the actual level runs. Ten players contributed runs to the project.
Oh, and you're going to hear the shotgun a lot.

If is the case, then they could easily pull off a run through like this if they assigned each of the 10 players different sections of the game to literally play over and over again until they memorize the layout, secret rooms, enemies...etc.

Every few months I go check out the tool assisted speedruns site as well. The double or even quad Mega Man game runs are just insane.

I sure do miss Quake though.. first one was great...
Anyone else annoyed how they went off into sci-fi.. I liked the medieval setting of the first.
Compiled by the QdQ guys in November of this year. Can't believe they're still tuning this. :-)

shame.
