Natural Selection 2 Dev Offers 'Buy One, Get One Free' Promotion for a Limited Time

Unknown Worlds is really going pre-order crazy.

Maybe the devs know the game isn't going to be that great so they're trying to entice as many people to depart with their money before they have a chance to play the game.

Tempting. The original was a love-or-hate game. There was no middle ground. With my luck, would gift it to a friend that has no appreciation of the blend of FPS-RTS - especially if there was a shitty human commander.

This game is getting better and better with every update! For those that want to support the developers go get this, for those looking for a full polished game to play I'd hold off until final release. Still having a great time online playing this minus the bugs. They have come a long way with this engine and it's impressive looking!

Purchased, the 2nd copy will be for my brother's xmas present.

There are many reasons to wait before buying NS (new engine, many updates, my grandmother needs an operation, etc ,etc) but folks, these guys are what we as gamers scream about, Indi developers that don't have to make some suit happy by dumping cookie cutter (same as the other games) game play into thier game for marketing bozo's.

Instead they are creating something unique and different. Games are compared to Natural Selection and not the other way around. If in the end I have wasted my money pre-ordering NS then so be it. But If I had one game to support it would be NS. BTW, I do not always agree with thier choices (believe me, i swear at them alot) and yet they still have my support.

Waiting for steam news, until than, no thanks.

How unbelievably lame! How can you possibly justify your pre-order hype for a game that's not even going into alpha until July 26th. The end of the year has turned into a sort of extended Black Friday period for online game sales. The big digital distribution sites know we have other things to spend our money on at this point and subsequently offer great deals to entice us. So thanks to this unnecessary hype I'll not only not pre-order this game, I pass on it when it's finally released as well.
