Free Infinity Blade Update Brings New Content Tomorrow
by Brian Leahy, Dec 20, 2010 11:00am PSTTomorrow, the first free content pack will go live for Chair Entertainment's iOS game Infinity Blade. The update is pretty substantial, especially for a free update, though the ability to purchase in-game gold with real money has been added.
The changes coming are:
- Gamers can collect and master 5 new Swords, 5 new Shields, 1 new set of Armor, and 5 new Helmets, including the Santa-themed "Holiday Helm!"
- Maximum Character Level raised from 40 to 45!
- New Enemy Revealed
- The MARROW FIEND! This creature is rumored to devour its victims, taking their bones for its blade and shield.
- Purchase Gold! Due to popular demand, we have added the ability to buy extra Gold via in-app purchase!
- Gamers can now listen to their own music while playing INFINITY BLADE!
- Optimizations and minor Bug fixes.
Additionally, Chair will be doing more updates next year, which will include "new areas to conquer, new enemies to fight, multiplayer, new swords, shields, helmets, and magic rings."
Infinity Blade is available now on the App Store as a universal app for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad for $5.99.

I hope we don't have to wait till the sequel to see what happens next in the story. I completed the game on the 6th bloodline and I'm on the 14th now just because I want to silly 20th bloodline achievement.
