Bulletstorm Trailer: Lots of Swearing About Something or Other
by Alice O'Connor, Dec 20, 2010 7:00am PST"A deeper look at the story and characters" of Bulletstorm is promised in a new trailer for the over-the-top shooter yet somehow all we can recall of it is lots of rude words being said and plenty of 'xtreme' behaviour. That's probably how deep it is, then.
Developed by People Can Fly with Epic Games, Bulletstorm is slated to launch for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on February 22, 2011. An Xbox 360-exclusive Epic Edition will offer early beta access to Gears of War 3 at no extra charge, "while supplies last."
All Bulletstorm needs now is a skateboarding section, Limp Bizkit soundtrack, branded baseball caps and in-game advertising for Mountain Dew. To the max, motherflipper!

If the game succeeds it'll be because of the talented bunch at PCF and not the shallow, brain-dead contributions of Epic.

The biggest problem with Epic's "bad-ass archetype" is that the financial success of Gears presents resistance to its replacement. You can't argue against it because the mass market eats this crap up, and then preorders the sequel.
