Weekend Discussion

By Xav de Matos, Dec 18, 2010 8:00am PST Later tonight, I'm jumping on a plane and leaving sunny, Southern California and heading back to Toronto. The trip--although short--was fantastic. It's always great to go to work at an office and keep home feeling like it's home.

Check out Weekend Confirmed Live from Kevin Smith's SModCastle with hosts Garnett and Jeff along with special guests Geoff Keighley, Billy Berghammer, Patrick Klepek, and Christian Spicer. Oh, and I'm there too! It really was a fantastic show that could only have been better if Brian was able to talk and if Garnett remembered to introduce and/or thank me during the show. Seriously, I was sitting right there!

Time to bust out the scarf and shovel some snow, until then... here's what we're all going to be playing this weekend.

  • Alice O'Connor: I have no particular plans regarding video games this weekend.
  • Garnett Lee: I'm setting my sights on finishing Red Dead Redemption this weekend. I'll also be booting up several of the contenders in our Best of 2010 Awards for a little refresher and who knows, I may play a little more with my Worgen warrior in Cataclysm.
  • Brian Leahy: World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, NFS: Hot Pursuit, StarCraft 2, BF:BC2 Vietnam, and maybe trying to finish Assassin's Creed 2.
  • Xav de Matos: I'll be exploring Los Angeles until I fly out tonight. If I'm awake on the flight home I'll probably play some Chrono Trigger on my DS or any number of the fantastic Humble Indie Bundle #2 titles I purchased earlier this week.
  • Jeff Mattas: Little bit of DJ Hero 2, some more Epic Mickey, and an extended preview build of SuperGiant Games upcoming action-RPG, Bastion.
  • Ozzie Mejia: Christmas shopping's all done, so this is a good weekend to finish Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Also have a lot of Rock Band 3 DLC to catch up with, including the Billy Joel pack.
