Xbox Live Marketplace Offering Daily Deals from Dec. 21 to Dec. 31; Red Dead Goes On Demand

Xbox Live's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has revealed the last push of content for the Xbox Live Marketplace for the year.

To ring in the New Year, Xbox Live will offer a plethora of daily discounts and special offers. From December 21 until December 31, a new block of daily offers (see the a preview of the deals after the break) will be available for users to empty their MS space buck-filled wallets. Discounted titles include Super Meat Boy and Comic Jumper as well as the Claptrap New Revolution DLC for Borderlands.

Also finding its way to the Marketplace before the year Twenty-Eleven are a slew of new Games on Demand titles. The list includes Red Dead Redemption, Just Cause 2, and Ghostbusters.

Xbox Live users in the United States will have an opportunity to win a stockpile of Microsoft points this Saturday in a special Halo: Reach all-night marathon session this Saturday, December 18. Every hour between 6pm and 6am PT, eight players will each win 4,000 points. The perfect prize to say hello to 2011.

    From December 21 through December 31, there will be a new Xbox Live Marketplace deal every day. Major Nelson will post daily deals on his blog as well as on Twitter. In addition to the surprise daily offers, Xbox Live will host 10 unique offers that will be available for the duration of the campaign.

        wouldn't doubt it, especially with the 250gb drive becoming standard and the option to put in your own external HDDs. You can bet the next-gen consoles will be heavily influenced to digital distribution as well.

        It's pretty much a foregone conclusion; especially for the next round of consoles. Apple is only speeding up that process with their Mac app store that's launching, further cutting retail out of the supply chain.
