Evening Reading

I know I'm really late to the party, but the Dungeon Finder in World of Warcraft is pretty damn excellent, at least at low levels. It's quite good at putting together a group that will, on paper, be able to handle the dungeon at hand. I'm sure it all falls apart at higher levels when the dungeons get more complicated.

I've already used it to run Deadmines, Stockades, and Blackfathom Deeps and snagged some good drops for my Worgen. Queuing up for a random dungeon also grants a free item, sold money, and experience. It's great (for now).

ATTN Creepers in Suits on the Backup Server!

I raided that base I was telling you about at the coordinates of X 1411 Z 514 and stole about 80 minetrack. I didn't find any tools or anything which means they have hidden stashes.

while i dont care about duping and dont police it, when the next update fixes it, oh well.

i am also still considering a new world at Beta time.

              I just had an idea.

We could 'roleplay' creepers, with an admins help (or maybe without).

We kill people by blowing them up with TNT. Just a couple pieces, and you probably blow yourself up too. So we'd not carry much equipment, and only a couple TNT at a time. If they managed to kill us then they'd get the TNT as a reward.

It'd be hard to do, but fun if we could work it out.

Also, original server has been reset, and will be reset again once beta hits...so I'm taking a break from it.

I'll probably take a little break from PVP, since the game should get more challenging. No more repair bug, for one thing.

Who knows what else I'll want to test, without someone poking me. ;)

New Towny map up in the usual place http://pixeltrap.net/minecraft/TownyMap.png

+ cleaned up all the junk like axes and the other crap that was littering the figure
+ appended a 'last updated' tag to the map so you know when the last time I ran the script was
+ it's now a buttload easier for me to make these

      Still on the to-do list:
      - will try to think of a way to order the colours so that neighbouring cities are never the same colour
      - automate this

        WOW! That helps a lot!

It was a little tight, but I manages to fit a switch track at the junction at the TIP.
Basically, coming from the west toward Penis Island, you will pass through the TIP switch, and go the to Penis Island Observatory Station.

Leaving the Observatory Station going West, you will stop at the TIP Switch, where you can choose WEST or NORTH.

Currently coming SOUTH into the TIP switch just sends you WEST without stopping, but that can be change to sent you to the Observatory Station, by only adjusting like 4 track pieces or so, if that is wanted.

I added a booster into the middle of the north track, but it may not be enough.

        For the northern junction:
        1. very nice.
        2. there is no way to get a 3 way switch in that area.
I was more thing of just have one track go through both Edo and Endor, as they are practically aligned north-south of each other. then the junction could be a switch that allows you to choose Tremblant or Edo/Endor. A very simple option would be to just have the track split at the junction, so that heading north, you first go to Tremblant, which could have a station like the original observatory (just a single button to start you going, no direction choice), and leaving Tremblant would bring you back to the junction where you would then be directed to the track to Edo/Endor, and leaving Endor would send you back south to the TIP junction.

We should actually ask the mayors of those towns how they would like the tracks to run to their town. Edo, for example, might want them underground, so we could do a subway station for them or something like that.

I'll try to work some more on it tomorrow night after getting the Just Cause 2 achievement for the Steam Treasure Hunt.
