Taking the stage during the 2010 Spike VGAs, director Guillermo del Toro revealed the upcoming title, bred from his highly teased relationship with THQ.

To say details are slim would be an understatement. Only a few things are known about the game at this time.

  • It's called: Insane
  • Del Toro hopes the horror title will make you "shit your pants"
  • Volition, inc. is working on the game with del Toro
  • It's coming out sometime in 2013.
That's right. Insane will launch alongside flying cars in the year Two-Thousand-Thirteen. Platforms were not mentioned; however, since the world is ending in 2012, it doesn't really matter.

Monochrome video with obviously faked "coarse film grain" effect: check.
    Annoyingly flickering lighting: check.
    Squirming worm-like things: check.
A needle almost stabbing into an eyeball: check.
Title screen that looks like it belongs on an early 2000's nu-metal band album cover: check.
Most inane game PR quote since "You scared the dick off me": check.

    Meh.

I haven't watched the video but now I'm disappointed: no "creepy little ghostly child"?
