Deus Ex: Human Revolution Extended CGI Trailer Reveals More Backstory, Augmented Action

Square Enix has released an extended cut of the original trailer that introduced the latest entry in the Deus Ex franchise.

In the extended CGI trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution we get a more detailed look at Adam Jensen's backstory, including the loss of someone close to him and his reliance on augmentations to battle enemy forces. As has come to be the standard for the game's sporadic video reveals, the action looks intense.

Developed by Eidos Montreal, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is launching in "early 2011" for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.

Wow, why aren't more games like this? It might sound like a contradiction, but I think more games should be more like movies and less like well.. games. Movies tend to have much better stories, presentations, characters, etc than games typically do. Compare a romero movie to Left 4 Dead. Is there even any comparison?

- Movies have fixed storylines, though. That means almost zero replayability. I would like to see a game ... : the archvile
- Personally I hope it's less like a Square/Enix rpg and more like the original Deus Ex with better graphic... : jtthe2nd
