Originally given the rather ambiguous date of January 2011, Electronic Arts told IGN that Mass Effect 2 will arrive on January 18 in North America and on January 21 in Europe.
The epic, role-playing title will feature a gaggle of bonus content including a new "interactive comic" outlining the events of the original--still Xbox 360 and PC-exclusive--game in the series.
Developer BioWare is set to introduce a new title during the 2010 Spike VGAs this weekend, initial speculation around the internet campfire is that the game is Mass Effect related.
