A full and fancy Arkham City trailer is set to premiere, much like almost everything else being revealed around now, at the Spike Video Game Awards on December 11. The game itself was unveiled at the awards ceremony last year.

The sequel to Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City is scheduled for release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in fall 2011.

If I remember correctly, the first game ran on the Unreal engine 3. So either there have been some amazing improvements to the Unreal engine, or Rocksteady is going with CGI movies for the sequel. Anybody know?

many of the cutscenes in the first game were video files aswell. no idea why, as it was video'd from in-engine cutscenes. maybe it was done to hide loading or something. was really annoying as I played the game with 3d vision, and of course that crap isn't going to work with video-files playing. so the game went back and forth between 2d and 3d constantly, even during cutscenes as some of the cutscenes would be in-engine and some would be video files.
