In the midst of Gran Turismo fever last week, accomplished PC racing simulator developer SimBin launched its new free-to-play game, RaceRoom - The Game. It features three variations of the famous Hockenheim circuit to be raced in either Chevrolet Camaros or a formula car. Though free, the game does require you to register as a member at RaceRoom Online to play.

Before you get your hopes up for free online racing, the game does not include online multiplayer races at this time. It does, however, support live competition time trials. For the moment you may find these servers full at times but this is being considered a large scale beta test of the online features and the developer promises to scale up once a solid environment can be ensured. The game also includes a field of lifelike AI opponents to race against in addition to the time trials.
