Back to the Future: The Game Trailer Details Telltale's Five-Part Launch Plans
by Xav de Matos, Dec 06, 2010 9:20am PSTLate last week, Telltale released a trailer for its upcoming Back to the Future game, which, canonically, takes place six months after the events of the third movie.
The first reveal of the game in action features Marty McFly worried about his friend Dr. Emmett "Doc" Brown, who is about to lose his home and belongs in 1986 after deciding to stay in the past. Soon after, the DeLorean reappears and we learn that Doc is in trouble and he needs his old friend to save him. The trailer looks promising, save for some terrible lip-syncing and stiff animations.
According to the video, the five-part series has already been scheduled:
- Episode One "It's About Time" - December 2010
- Episode Two "Get Tannen!" - February 2011
- Episode Three "Citizen Brown" - March 2011
- Episode Four "Double Visions" - April 2011
- Episode Five "OUTATIME" - TBA (Finale)
Based on the trailer, Marty's first destination is the early 1930s. When last we saw Doc Brown, he was flying off to an unknown time with his new found family from 1885 in a flux capacitor-outfitted, steam-powered train at the end of Back to the Future 3.
Pre-orders are available from Telltale's official site, with $1 from each sale going to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Back to the Future: The Game will launch for the PC, Mac, PlayStation 3, and iPad.
