Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition Priced at 99 Cents Today on Games for Windows
by Xav de Matos, Dec 02, 2010 3:00pm PSTToday, the Games for Windows Marketplace is offering the classic first-person shooter, role-playing game Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition for less than the price of a cup of coffee. Unless you love really terrible coffee.
For only 99 cents (or 80MS Points) you can join the rest of the hardcore, cult fans of the Deus Ex series. Is Microsoft a little late to push a game that launched for PC in 2000? Before we answer that, consider this:
Warren Spector, one of the original designers on Deus Ex, just launched his latest title: Epic Mickey, developed at Junction Point Studios, making it a good time to bring up his old classic. Add to that, the fact that Edios Montreal recently released new media for its upcoming third installment in the Deus Ex series, titled Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and one could argue that Microsoft was right on time with this offer.
Those people would be wrong--it's ten years old for crying out loud--but it's a cute argument to make. Make sure to grab the game soon, if you don't already own it.
