Buy Two Qualifying XBLA Titles in December, Get 400MS Points Back

2
After announcing its Xbox Live Rewards program, Xbox Live's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb revealed a new Marketplace-based promotion focusing on a select number of Xbox Live Arcade titles.

Throughout the month of December, Microsoft is offering 400MS Points ($5) to users who purchase two qualifying XBLA titles. However, like all promotions that seem too good to be true, there is some fine print to take note of. Specifically, before purchases can qualify for the promotion, players must first download the Arcade Offer gamer picture to register for the giveaway (the Xbox.com download link for the registration image is currently broken, but it's the first link listed here).

The listing of qualifying titles is a double-edged sword. While the picks are mostly great, I pretty much own everything that qualifies and I suspect a few of you are in my shoes. If you're missing a few games from your collection and like saving a few bucks, this might be the deal you've been looking for. The droids in the image above? Those aren't the droids you're looking for.

I'm not sure I even want one of those, much less two.

Plants vs Zombies is amazing. So is Monday Night Combat. Don't have most of these, may have to take advantage.

I already own Plants Vs Zombies on my iPod Touch, bought for $.99.

I just don't know. I already own Trials HD on 360.

There are a ton of amazing games on that list. Practically the cream of the XBLA crop. I'm not really motivated by them giving what equates to a $2.50 discount on a $15 dollar game though.
