Civilization 5 Pre-Order DLC Now Available for Purchase

11
The various "Cradle of Civilization" map packs that were released as retailer-specific bonuses with the launch of Civilization V are now available to purchase, as promised.

Each of the four packs can be snagged for $2.99 or bundled together for $9.99.

Or, you could just keep playing random or user-created maps. Your choice.

$10 dollars for 4 scenarios that will probably give you 20+ hours of entertainment? Yea, totally bonkers.

Are they actually scenarios or just maps? And aren't there a bunch user-created maps that are virtually the same thing?

My mistake, I thought they were like the free one offered last month.

These aren't scenarios, these are maps that look roughly like their real world couterparts. With countless free user-created maps, tools to (easily) make your own, and the game has randomized maps anyway, I don't see 4 maps being worth $10, but that's just me.

I couldn't believe they wanted $3 for each of these. MAYBE $.99, but this pricing is ridiculous.

I'm going to have to agree. I'm not really going to get butthurt over it though. Just not going to download them.
