Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Free DLC Coming in December

By Alice O'Connor, Nov 24, 2010 9:45am PST Open-world murder training tool Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is set to receive a violent jolt of new multiplayer content in December with a free downloadable content pack, publisher Ubisoft announced today.

The 'Animus Project Update 1.0' pack will add a new multiplayer mode as well as one new multiplayer map. The team-based Advanced Alliance mode is based upon Alliance mode, but "with target identification and engagement more difficult" than the original.

The new multiplayer map, meanwhile, will take players to the stunning French island town of Mont Saint-Michel. "Its particular topography of narrow streets, high-perched bell tower and multi-leveled architecture is perfect for hunters and predators alike to surge from out of nowhere to execute their prey," Ubisoft says. Having been there myself, I do hope that the "prey" is rude tourists who push, jostle and yell in your face.

Animus Project Update 1.0 will be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on December 14, priced at 0ƒ. The PS3 edition has already received a dash of free DLC with the exclusive singleplayer-focused Copernicus Conspiracy. The delayed PC edition of AssBro, as it's known to its friends, is due in the first quarter of 2011.
