Test Drive Unlimited 2 Gets Exclusive Steam In-Game Items, Pre-Order Available Now

Atari's upcoming racer Test Drive Unlimited 2 is now available for pre-order on Steam, the digital distributor revealed earlier today.

By pre-ordering Test Drive Unlimited 2 from Steam, PC racing fanatics will gain access to two exclusive in-game bonuses: a high-end performance vehicle and an even higher-end performance in-game pullover sweater. Retail players can also get some exclusive goodies for the racer, depending on which retailer they visit.

The included Steam bonus vehicle is the "ultra-exclusive" Pagani Zonda Tricolore, which--according to the official Steam page--was "built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Italy's Frecce Tricolori, the nine-plus-one aerobatic training squadron based at Rivolto Air Force Base in northern Italy."

Originally scheduled to arrive later this year, Test Drive Unlimited 2 will race to the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in the first quarter of 2011.

I never played the first one and missed the beta for this one. What are the thoughts on the game so far?

John, I did get into the beta for this but due to it's limited play window every week, I never really get to play. I did however play the original quite a lot. It's a very solid and fun game. Countless hours put into it for sure.

Best multiplayer driving game ever. track Ir. support, 3d vision and clutch 5-speed support. Hardcore physics mode. Awesome cars and unlimited driving; no lobbies.

It was fun at first, then once you've been driving for like 20 minutes you realize there's nothing to do. Every person I've challenged to race declined so all I did was drive around.

This game is awesome. I got a wheel for it and bought the first one to hold me over. It is no sim but not 100% aracde either. It has a real good feel when you get into different cars and just gets you into this feeling that your really on the road trying to not hit anyone and checking the other lane before you pass someone as you accelerate in your lambo.

This is one game where the logitech G25 pays off. Awesome gear shift and clutch support. I actually learned to drive standard playing the original. Picking this up for sure.

Even better if you have a racing setup in front of a projector.. Mu ha ha.

Not much content in the beta so as Desmond4231 stated you just drive around.
Maybe I'm mistaken but it looks like the Casino in which we can play in the Beta will be a DLC when the game will be released. Day one DLC is something that I really do not like...
