Where's The Monkey?

by Steve Gibson, Jul 28, 1999 9:54pm PDT

Hey, sorry I was gone all afternoon, forgot to mention that I would be out running all kinds of those "real life" errands that we all try to avoid so much. I've safely arrived back home however and can now restart that count of number of days without seeing sunlight. Hurah! (Will package up and toss a bunch of news your way a bit later tonight after I catch up on da emailz)

  • Wtf I don\'t understand all of you people who get all pissy when there is no news. I read this page over all other pages because it has good news updates and some other interesting features as well. Bluesnews does a fine job, but all it is.. is just news. sCary adds humor and I always enjoy the suckage and wack links sections as well. Sure there are slow news days and sometimes real life tasks come first before updating a webpage. If you want constant news, YOU try browsing through all the gaming/hardware sights you can think of. Its just easier to get it all from one page, and you are lucky that someone cares enuff to let you know about whats going on.

  • #3, because I hold myself to a big of a higher standard for being attentive to the page, whenever i dissapear for more than about 6 hours I post a reason behind it.

In the big scheme of things, being away from my web page for 6 hours hardly qualifies as something wrong, and hardly requires that i feel guilty about it and make a so called \"excuse\"

I just felt that readers like yourself like to be informed. Would you prefer that whenever I leave the house and am gone for 6-12 hours etc that nobody knows?

By posting something like \"ill be gone for the afternoon\" it informs the readers that if they are expecting some sort of news to go down, that i wont be around to post information concerning that news until i return.
