Gran Turismo 5 Launches on November 24
by Xav de Matos, Nov 12, 2010 7:30am PSTSony Computer Entertainment has finally confirmed a new (and we hope final) release date for its oft-delayed racing title from developer Polyphony Digital: Gran Turismo 5 races to retail on November 24.
Since the game was first revealed during E3 2005, Gran Turismo 5 saw its release changed on multiple occasions and in multiple regions. Its last confirmed release date was November 2, which was pushed to the "holiday season" for unspecified reasons.
"Satisfying the loyal Gran Turismo followers is at the heart of all of our efforts, which is why it was such a difficult decision to delay the release of the game, and one which we did not take lightly," Polyphony Digital president Kazunori Yamauchi commented in the press release revealing the new date. "I can only apologize to everyone for making you wait so long, and I hope that when you try out the wealth of driving experiences available in Gran Turismo 5, you will not be disappointed."
Although Sony's flagship racing simulation from developer Polyphony Digital has had a few jokes tossed its way for its constant delays, it's nice to know that the wait is almost over. They really had no choice, if you think about it. What I mean is this: imagine if Duke Nukem Forever came out before Gran Turismo 5.

As for racing, I'm not a big Forza, Gran Turismo or even, Need for Speed: Shift fan...
The only racing game I've been waiting for has been Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
Which is multiplatform anyhow. So no matter what machine you play on, you can still enjoy it.
