Postal 3 Dev Says Title is in 'Final Stages'

If you've been keeping up with the kerfuffle that is Schwarzenegger v. ESA/EMA you probably noticed a few references to Postal 2 in the court transcripts. Although it was released in 2003, the game is still referenced today for its over-the-top violence.

But that was so long ago. I mean, look at those graphics! What the industry needs is a new whipping boy. Oh, what's that video game industry? Postal 3 is still in development at Running with Scissors and Akella and will launch soon? Thanks.

Speaking with Joystiq, Vince Desi from developer Running With Scissors explained that the third game in the you're not helping "zany" franchise is nearly complete. "It's in the final stages in Moscow," he said. "I don't think it will come out this Christmas."

When last we heard about the game, Postal 3 was expected to launch in 2009 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

I don't mind the wait since there's no way the game will be half as bad as the Postal movie was. It's not like Uwe Boll is involved in any capacity, right? Oh, wait. Nevermind. It's cool. Take your time.
