Sony Refreshes Official PS3 Bluetooth Headset

6
Sony has updated its official Bluetooth headset with an upgraded version that should hit stores later this month for around $50. It boasts a 30% reduction in size over the previous model.

The biggest feature, however, is "built-in noise cancellation for filtering out ambient noise when used with the PS3 system as well as your mobile phone." This should help cut down on some echo when players use lower quality headsets online.

The headset should sport around 6 hours of call time and will automatically pair with your PlayStation 3 if connected via USB for a simple setup process. Outside of the PS3, it will function with Bluetooth 1.1 interfaces.

Voice com on PS3 pales in comparison to xbox's right now. If only Sony would release an official wired headphone/mic (just like xbox's) that is around $15-25. I'm just not going to go spend $50 on this to play games.

Well this is $40 on amazon. But yea I agree its too much for the average person. The PS3 should either come with it, or they should at least offer a $20 one.
