Weekend Confirmed Episode 33

171
Microsoft unleashed the Kinect sensor add-on that brings controller-less play to the Xbox 360 and we've been playing with it and the first batch of games. But Dance Central, Kinect Adventures, and Kinect Sports aren't the only thing in Whatcha' Been Playin? The GoldenEye remake for Wii, Z.H.P., Fable 3, and more get in on the act as well. Your thoughts on videogame length, achievement systems, and the concepts of universal design spur the conversation in the Warning. We break down both sides in the challenge to California's law to prohibit the sales of violent games to minors heard by the US Supreme Court as well as rumors of a poker game headed to Xbox Live, the cancellation of NBA Elite, and more.

Don't worry, you'll get a lot of it. On that note, I heard enough and will subsequently skip all future motion control bullshit from this podcast. The voice of reason (Jeff) didn't have much to say again (wise man) and his humor adds much to the cast. Doing a great job Jeff! Big fan.

I'll skip right past KazeXIIIs nred rage and actually address your comment.

Kinect actually impressed me quite a bit.

Is it for eveyone? No. At least not yet.

As far as the current games go, I rolled my eyes every time I saw a video of someone playing that stupid raft mini game in Kinect adventures, but when I actuall PLAYED it myself, I had a lot of fun.

My wife hates videogames in general, but she and I played for an hour together last night and were laughing the entire time. It definitely has a wider appeal than I thought it would.
