New media from BioWare's upcoming MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic shows off some player-versus-player action in arenas called Warzones, which pit two sides against each other in what looks like an attack/defense scenario involving several objectives.

You'll see a mix of Jedi business and laser-blasting. While this doesn't quite sell me on the game, it's getting closer to something I'd play. In actuality, it just makes me want a new full-scale Star Wars multiplayer shooter on PC.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I'll definitely play either way since I'm a Star Wars fan through and through, quality aside.

And yea, I really think Battlefront 3 is in the works. Definitely would do a great deal to rejuvenate the IP in the game medium. Plus it would be kinda foolish to not make...

      God this looks really bland.

These guys are thinking this is going to do well just because it's Star Wars?

The action is almost ... stop motion in feel. Anyone else?

It was decent a few years ago when first announced but with stuff like Guild Wars 2 supposedly debuting next year, Bioware probably should have pushed the graphics and animation envelope further. They were probably thinking of keeping the system requirements low to help pull in a few million regular subscribers, a feat I no longer think they're going to achieve. I sense a free to play option in this MMO's future.

I'm losing faith in it. I didn't see anything at all in that game play footage that looked like it would be any more fun than just playing some ancient Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy at a LAN would give me.

I agree, plus look at the size of those arenas or battlegrounds.. looks rather empty.
