I just fired up DOOM3 for the first time in a couple of years and it still looks fantastic. Heck, parts look just as good as the new Aliens vs Predator DX11 game. If you add higher poly models to the game it would fit in just as well today. Amazing.

Oh, and we know.... OMG DARK! HOW COULD YOU EVEN SEE THE MODELS.

  Relative to its time, Doom 3 is the most graphically impressive game I've ever played. Felt like a true revolution when it came out. It was like reaching the moment you'd been thinking about in the 90's where you'd play with cutscene graphics in realtime.
