              So is most game development though. "Here go work on some isolated thing that has to do with some audio glitch." I guess my point is more that software development for games does not automatically imply that you'll be doing the fun stuff (though it doesn't rule it out either). I like the field I'm in. It's relatively niche, my company is one of 3 in the entire industry so my job security is almost 100% even given the economic dip we are in.
