Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Getting Playable Guest Star?

According to a report from an anonymous tipster on Joystiq, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is welcoming a special playable guest star so big, it could be considered a spoiler.

If you're itching to find out, jump in after the break for images and a the reveal of who you can be completing contracts with when Brotherhood ships this month.

It would seem as though Konami and Ubisoft have teamed up again to allow players of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood to roam Rome's streets as Raiden, the bionic ninja of Metal Gear Solid fame. Before anyone who remembers Sons of Liberty starts feeling squeamish, it's worth noting that Raiden appears to be fully clothed for his Brotherhood-crossover appearance. If you're not sure what I mean, you can check out a little video of Raiden's most notorious performance, here. Just be forewarned, it can't be un-seen.

The tipster also revealed "the Raiden 'outfit' is unlocked upon completing all tasks in the Animus' new 'virtual training' mode."

While Raiden's appearance hasn't been officially confirmed by Ubisoft or Konami, it seems likely, given the accompanying screens, and the precedence of such of cameo. It wasn't long ago that Altair, the protagonist from the first Assassin's Creed, appeared as a playable character-skin in Metal Gear Solid 4. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker also had "leaps of faith" into carts of hay, ala the Assassin's Creed series.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood comes out for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 on November 16, and will hit PC sometime in early 2011.
