This fall, Namco Bandai is supercharging the world of Pac-Man for the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, the sequel to Pac-Man's 2007 high-def revamp, throws more maps, modes, and other features at modern gamers looking to take a trip through time.

Sadly, "this fall" does not mean "now." Meaning we all have to wait a little longer for Pac-Man to take another "hypnotic neon" bite out of our hearts.

Although the possibilities are slim, we'd ask anyone with the capability to allow us to travel through time to play Nacmo Bandai's latest right away. As "old" as the character and gameplay style is, we just can't get enough of this decade's take on Pac-Man.

Also, while we're there, we'll make sure to jot down some lottery numbers. Games aren't cheap, you know?

If this is half as good as CE, I'm sold. I love that game. The whole ghost train thing doesn't seem like it would be as fun or challenging though. You don't have to avoid the ghosts moving through the maze trying to get you from various directions, you just have stay ahead of the train and avoid running into the sleeping stationary ones.

Hope the old modes are included too with newer mazes and such!
