Morning Discussion
by Xav de Matos, Nov 03, 2010 5:00am PDTThe battle between Schwarzenegger and the EMA/ESA kicked off yesterday. According to some reports, the pendulum is not swinging in either notable direction. Some judges appear to favor California state's position, others don't, and some aren't showing their cards just yet.
It's going to be a long process and we plan to follow it all very closely.

Then things blew up (not that he could have possibly predicted that) and now he's stuck trying to maintain a respectable pace of bug fixes and content updates all while building on top of his bullshit framework.
If he didn't have all this pressure bearing down on him, he'd have the freedom to re-engineer a lot of his old shit code out of the engine, and probably either fix some bugs in the process, or make it easier to fix bugs in the future. But that's not an option if he continues to try to keep up this pace.
And if he'd known it was going to be this huge, he'd have started slower and built a more future-proof framework to enable him to create this product under these incredibly unreasonable conditions.
Personally I don't know how the guy keeps his cool. I'd have blown up at the Internet and accidentally the whole code base so that I'd be able to start over with a better framework.
