        In Notch's defence, that's pretty much what my code is like in Alpha too. That's why it's called alpha :P
        
        But yes, certain things that he has done in a... daft... way make me think that he's not the most rounded of programmers, so he's done things in a simple way that make sense to him. Like the save file structure, for example. Or the bizarre handling of compass directions. That sort of thing.
