BIT.TRIP BEAT develop Gaijin Games has announced out of the blue that the promised fall release of the retro rhythm game's PC and Mac editions will come today at 10am PST via Steam, complete with a 10% discount for the first week of sale.

Priced at $8.99 until November 9, then $9.99 thereafter, the Steam edition boasts additions over the 2009 WiiWare original including online leaderboards, achievements, Facebook and Twitter integration, several control schemes and an Easy Mode "for those of you who just like to get in the zone and ride a vibe."

Gaijin plans to port the entire six-part, cross-genre series to PC and hopes to bring it to other consoles. The fifth chapter, on-rails shooter BIT.TRIP FATE, hit Wii on October 25.
