Front Mission Evolved DLC Coming Oct. 28; 'Weapon Pack 1' Available for Free

Square Enix plans to offer four DLC packages to Front Mission Evolved players later this week, two of which offer players new weapons and two more with new "Wanzers" (a.k.a. Mechas). Originally each pack was going to be offered at a premium price; however, Square Enix is now giving the first weapon package away for free.

Announced on the official Japanese website for Front Mission Evolved--as spotted by Siliconera--the free weapon pack includes the "Darkhog" machine gun, "Blackstone" shotgun, and the "Sieger" rifle. The second (premium) weapon pack adds a bazooka, rocket launcher, and missile launcher to the game.

Wanzer pack number one adds two new mechas, the Tower and Stork, while the second Wanzer pack adds the Wildgold and ISV-Prototype units.

All four DLC packs are expected on October 28 for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The premium weapon pack is priced at $2.99 (240MS Points), while the Wanzer DLC will run mecha-heads $3.99 (320MS Points). For more Front Mission Evolved related coverage, check out our review.
