BlizzCon 2010 StarCraft 2 Invitational Tournament Players Revealed

Blizzard has announced the 16 players that will be competing in the BlizzCon 2010 StarCraft II Invitational Tournament, which will take place at the convention this Friday and Saturday.

The tournament will be commentated "by a rotating all-star team of shoutcasters including StarCraft II Game Director Dustin Browder, Rob "Voice" Simpson, Sean "Day[9]" Plott, Nick "Tasteless" Plott, and Dan "Artosis" Stemkoski. Tasteless and Artosis are the English-language commentating duo for the GSL tournament, currently in its second season.

Additionally, StarCraft and eSports legend SlayerS_'BoxeR' will face off against GSL1 champion Fruit Dealer in an exhibition match on Friday at 7:30pm PST.

Folks at home can watch the tournament and other BlizzCon events over the Internet or through DirecTV. Over $45,000 in prizes are one the line for the players. Two players from each territory have been selected to compete and are as follows.

This is an amazing line-up of players and there should be no shortage of excellent games. I'll be at BlizzCon 2010 covering the event, but I'm sure I'll find a way to sneak over to the tournament area and watch some games.

      IdrA will actually be casting GSL during Blizzcon alongside Xeqtr (and some other people).

        Yea I saw that, it should be pretty interesting considering his unique personality or lack there of hehe. I was kind of hoping he would be representing the USA though at Blizzcon and not two dudes that he just completely rolled over and destroyed at MLG DC.

            Huk is cool but he's nowhere near as good as Idra and neither is Select. They will most likely get shit on at Blizzcon.
