Super Meat Boy Launching With 33% Discount

Team Meat's 2D platformer Super Meat Boy won't launch at its regular price of 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15) when it arrives on Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow, the indie developer has announced, but with a 33% discount bringing it down to 800MS Points ($10).

"We wanted to be able to do something special for Xmas, but it felt like a sale only 2 months after launch would be a kinda shitty thing to do to the fans who just bought it," Team Meat's Edmund McMillen explains. A sale straight away, though, would work nicely as "a way to reward the fans for buying the game at launch."

Super Meat Boy will skid onto XBLA tomorrow, where it'll exclusively offer free downloadable chapters through a feature dubbed 'Teh Internets.' The sale will end in November. PC, Mac and WiiWare editions are also on the way, due to be released later.

Well if there was much doubt about buying this before, that is now gone.
