First DLC for Fallout: New Vegas Exclusively on 360 This Holiday Season

[UPDATE: 13:50:00 -- A Bethesda representative responded to our request for info on availability for other platforms saying that all they were announcing at this time is that the first DLC is exclusive to Xbox LIVE and additional information will be forthcoming in the next few weeks.]

Before picking up your copy of Fallout: New Vegas this week, consider whether you think you'll want more of it to play before the end of the year. Publisher Bethesda Softworks announced today a partnership with Microsoft to exclusively bring DLC for the game to the Xbox 360 this holiday season.

No details regarding what would be in the DLC pack were given. Bethesda VP of marketing and PR Pete Hines said, "Fans will once again be able to continue their experience in the Fallout universe with the add-on packs planned for after the launch of the game." From that language, it sounds likely this exclusivity agreement covers availability of the new DLC this holiday season and it would then potentially be available on other platforms at a later date. Shacknews has contacted Bethesda to clarify this point and we'll update this story should we learn more.
