Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition Packs in Replica 'Plasma Cutter,' Exclusive Items and more for $80

How many times a day do you ask yourself, "Why don't I own a plasma cutter?" Three? Five, even? It's a good thing Electronic Arts knows you so well because the publisher revealed a Collector's Edition of its upcoming action title, Dead Space 2, which includes protagonist Isaac Clarke's favored, slicing weapon.

Of course, the "cutter" is only a replica of the in-game item, so don't expect to show off your "extreme" pizza or cake cutting skills with the handheld weapon.

The Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition also ships with the game's soundtrack, a lithograph and a pair of in-game items, all for $79.99. Dead Space 2 is set to slice and dice on January 25, 2011, for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

    Dead Space 2 Collector's Edition:
  • Isaac Clarke's collectible replica Plasma Cutter with trigger activated LED lights (Modeled after the Dead Space 2 design)
  • Dead Space 2 Original Soundtrack (Also included is a 'Scoring of Dead Space 2' featurette)
  • Lithograph depicting Necromorph transformation concept art
  • Unitology Suit and Force Gun in-game items

Tempted about the PC version. I wonder if it will contain activation limits.

Didn't EA get rid of those activation limits though ?
Their last big games for PC (i.e. Sims 3 and Mass Effect 2) had simple disc-check protection... plus internet activation quickly through DLCs.
