PlayStation Store Adds Dead Space Ignition, Sonic 4: Episode One and A Crop of Fresh DLC
by Xav de Matos, Oct 13, 2010 2:40pm PDTTuesday's PlayStation Store update added the prequel "game" Dead Space Ignition, the first episode in Sonic the Hedgehog 4, and a slew of discounts for select downloadable titles and add-on content, including Resident Evil 5 DLC.
Dead Space Ignition is part motion comic, part mini-game collection. The bulk of the experience will be based on watching the prequel to Dead Space 2 unfold with a few mini-games thrown in for good measure. Although the game is priced at $4.99, it is available for free to those who pre-order Dead Space 2. Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode One is available for $14.99 and attempts to bring Sega's, once powerful, mascot back to his glory days. Demos for both titles are available for download.
Speaking of demos, there is also a trial of the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Unleashed sequel available for download on the PlayStation Store now. As was previously reported, PSone Classics titles Arc The Lad and Alundra have also been released, each priced at $5.99.
Users looking to extend the re-playability of their current library can download new premium content for Def Jam Rapstar, Dead Rising 2, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2, and a free "Hunting & Trading Outfits" DLC pack for Red Dead Redemption.
The full list of releases can be found, as always, on the PlayStation Blog.
